Background and Identification
The Escort Passport Max2 is a laser and radar detector. Its features include built-in Bluetooth wireless technology, GPS, and a preloaded Defender database marking various red-light and speed camera locations in Northern America. It was released in 2014 by ESCORT and is currently no longer in production.
The device is small and rectangular, and measures approximately 5-¼” x 3-¼” x 1”. This makes it an ideal size for discreetly mounting to a windshield. It is two-toned, black and grey, with a small thin display at the front of the device. On the top of the device, there are six silver buttons, a speaker and the marking “PASSPORT MAX 2.” Please note, this may also be labeled "Max II."
The device has faced no recalls and, in general, received favorable reviews. The poor quality of the casing seems to have been its greatest drawback.
