Background
The Acer Aspire 4743-6481 laptop was released in the Fall of 2011. It has a plastic frame with vaguely metallic colors, weighs 4.74 lbs, and has a 14" display. Its Model Name is: AS4743. It is also considered a budget type laptop because it offers acceptable performance at a lower price. Despite its limitations, it does come with a generous 500GB drive and a fair amount of ports. Additionally, unlike many of its lower budget counterparts, it clicks quietly and softly.
The laptop can be easily repaired and is also made out of relatively cheap components, most of which can be easily found in regular electronics stores. The keyboard, however, is specifically designed by Acer and can be found at Amazon.
Identification
The Acer Aspire 4743-6481 can be identified by the SNID and serial number on the label located on the bottom of the device. Acer SNID numbers are 11 or 12 digits and do not contain letters.
