That chapter is about the system board removal but step 15 shows you where the power adapter cable connects to. Follow that to the power connector port. Or you can use this video and around 4:25 you see how to remove the port.

While you work on your "tablet", take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit.
