Controller/Console damaged while playing
This is a weird problem to have, but a friend's son had a temper tantrum while playing on the PS4 slim and tried wrenching and pulling off the left analog stick while the game was running. Not only that, he threw it a few times quite hard on the floor and slammed it repeatedly on the ground! While all of this was happening, the game was noticeably glitching - it was God of War 3 Remastered, and it got stuck in a weird state in Photo mode, and then the console reverted to the operating system view and glitched visibly as the controller was being damaged! I went back and restarted the console and used a separate controller. Things seem to be working fine, but do you think there's a danger of a power surge or something having affected the PS4 slim hardware permanently? I don't remember if the controller was connected using Bluetooth or the USB cable while all of this was happening. The original controller is now damaged beyond recognition, but the console seems to be running fine with the new controller. Is there something I should look out for, with respect to damage or how games are running? I was also wondering if the Smart TV itself could be damaged as well.
Summary: I'm primarily concerned about the fact that the left analog stick was being wrenched out while the game was running, and the fact that it was slammed so many times on the ground, and also thrown, which caused the games and the operating system to glitch on screen, and whether it caused any lasting damage to the console or the television.
Again, I understand this is a weird problem to have, and my heart is broken (I kept the console in a fairly pristine state), so any advice or help is appreciated!
