Only charges when plugged in one side

It only charges When usb is plugged in one specific side .when it is plugged in that side I have to move and adjust the usb c in a particular direction until the charging sign pops up . When the charging sign pops up I have hold it in that same angle for 5 secs.after 5 secs it can be moved in any direction it will work if I don't hold it for 5 secs and change the angle it will not charge
