How to add memory

You can upgrade the ram modules in your laptop in order to have more memory. This usually means replacing the existing ram modules. Your laptop uses what is called DDR4 SDRAM, and has two ram slots. Laptop's uses the smaller size of ram sticks, so look for DDR4 ram sticks that matches the pictures in the Maintenance and Service Manual (p.35). When buying new ones, you will usually buy two ram sticks.

You can use the Maintenance and Service Manual for your laptop to replace the ram sticks, see the Removal and replacement procedures for "Memory Modules" on page 34. The manual starts with the steps needed to access the ram sticks, followed by instructions on how to replace the individual ram sticks.
