@mikkigardner you forgot to tell us what engine your charger has. After all, there are 4 to choose from (2.7L, 3.0LDiesel, 3.5L, 5.7L and 6.1L :-)
Anyhow, to remove the starter, use the Starting System chapter from the workshop manual. Starting on page 8 it is described on how to remove the starter for all engine choices.
You can now also get the complete workshop manual from this page 2006-2010 Dodge Charger under the Documents tab.
