Need help fixing my display please..

Hello, I am in need of finding the necessary tools and parts to fix my laptop. I need 2 cords that attach to one side of the hinges of the display screen. The hinge broke on the inside but can still be used, but the 2 cords that go into the display are needing to be replaced. I feel competent to fix it myself but I can't seem to find the cords anywhere.

@missmomma22 use the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 Hardware Maintenance Manual and go to page 96 which will guide you trough the whole LCD replacement. The difficulty is that we do not know exactly which 2 cables you are referring to. I would think that one is the LCD cable and the other one could be for your touchscreen etc. If you can post some images of those cables, or at least where they connect to, we can most likely help you find those. The touch screen cable is part number DC02C00DZ60 and the other one is part number DC02C00L360 Always check those to ensure that they will fit your particular LCD. The connectors on the motherboard side are usually the same pin numbers whereas the connectors on the LCD side have a different number of pins.

You’re likely looking for display LVDS/eDP cables (the ribbon cables that connect the screen to the motherboard) or inverter/LED backlight cables depending on your model. These are specific to your exact laptop model — same brand and model number. First, find your laptop’s make/model on the bottom sticker or BIOS. Then search for “[model] LCD cable” or “display ribbon cable” on parts sites like eBay, Amazon, AliExpress, or laptop parts retailers. You’ll also want basic tools: small Phillips & Torx screwdrivers, plastic pry tools, tweezers and an anti-static wrist strap. Matching the exact part number is the key fix.
