Sounds like it could be something small stuck around the pump area or maybe the circulation motor starting to wear a bit. I had a dishwasher do something similar where it would make a grinding noise for the first minute, and it ended up being debris down in the sump. Since yours is still washing dishes properly, I probably wouldn’t panic yet, but I’d check the filter and underneath the spray arm for any bits of glass or food buildup. Might be worth listening closely to see if it sounds more like a buzz, squeal, or grinding noise since that can usually point you in the right direction.
