How do I replace the battery

The battery was dead so I removed it from my Bose SoundLink Micro by cutting the wires close to the board. The original battery had green, red, black, and white wires. The replacement battery I bought (sold as compatible) has black, yellow, white, and red wires.

I want to make sure I connect everything correctly without causing a short circuit or damaging the board. The color codes don’t match, and I’m not sure which wire corresponds to which function (power, ground, thermistor, data, etc.).

Any guidance or wiring diagram for this model would really help. I have a multimeter and can take resistance or voltage readings if needed.

There’s no videos on the internet doing it step by step. Just how to split it open.

@kirbymorgan post some pictures of your board, battery etc. so we can see what it looks like and hopefully an identify which wire goes where. Make sure that we can identify the old color connections.

@kirbymorgan thank you for that. Red is positive, Black is negative, White is thermal that means Green is fuel gauge. Flip your white and yellow and see what happens.
