Rethermal Pasting and padding

Hello,

Is it possible to rethermal pad and paste this graphics card? my temps for the gpu are around 66 degrees Celcius under load however the Hotspot temps are around the 110 degrees Celcius mark. This card is not very old but i had taken it apart to replace the fan due to faulty bearing so dont believe i can send it in under warranty or anything like that. I am quite knowlegable when it comes to computer services and all that but im not really sure how to go about doing this. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as i cannot afford to go buy a new card in this current market and cannot find another 4080.

Hi!

Yes, you can take the cooler off and remove the thermal paste, then re-apply some new thermal paste.

But however, 66 degrees celcius is fine. 110 is pretty high, but when did it hit the 110? What does the monitoring tell you? Do you have screenshots?

Also, returning it for warranty is fine. Unless you broke or damaged something or removed any warranty sticker.
