8 Keyboard stopped working after auto update
Our neighbor just came with his MBA 2020 M1 with a non functional Keyboard.
His MB automatically updated itself (We guess to the latest OS Sequoia 15.4.1 and when it restarted the keyboard was non functional. Touch pad is working OK. We tried the terminal command "sudo nvram -c and just got some error message.....Slow keys are OFF. The only functional key is the power on.... any ideas? Clean install ?
To be clear an external keyboard works?

@danj Bluetooth Keyboard is being used..... no other options. Not sure what that has to do with the internal not working..... probably need to try replacing the flex cable 1st....

@livfe - using the keyboard and trackpad open up the keyboard viewer when you type a letter on the external the given key should show up within the viewer. Does the internal not respond or do you get a slight shimmer?

@danj Internal keyboard does not work as stated in the question. Only the power on is working. Its over many have this issue.

@livfe - I got that, sometimes the display's keyboard image will react while the keyboard it's self won't, do you get a slight shimmer?
