A Kenmore residential washing machine made between 2001 and 2009. Identify the age of your Kenmore washer with its serial number.

The washer is very loud during the spin cycle and has a squeaking sound when in motion. I'm wondering what to check first. The only model number I can find is Kenmore series 400.

Just verifying that you looked for the model number under the lid or on the right rim of the washer tub?
Without a model number it will hard to find the correct replacement parts for the machine if there's a faulty part that needs replacing.
