How to replace the coin cell battery

Doesn't seem to be in the knowledge base so just wanted to confirm what you might read on the net - yes the now 20 year old coin cell battery in this laptop is soldered on under the motherboard.

So follow the instructions for removing the motherboard to replace it and be prepared for soldering.

It's a 3v ML1220 rechargeable.
