Turn off after windows boot
I disassembled the computer to replace the old HDD with an SSD.
Afterwards, I gave it a general cleaning and proceeded to replace the thermal paste, which was completely dry. (I was generous with the amount of thermal paste).
Then I reassembled everything and tried to boot the Windows 10 installation USB stick (an ultralite version), but I noticed that the PC would shut down immediately after the USB stick started to load.
I then inserted the old HDD and tried to boot, but with the same result.
It's worth noting that when the PC was delivered to me, it showed a BIOS battery error at startup, indicating a low charge level. The PC starts normally in safe mode with networking.
I also tried disabling the 'multicore processing' option in the BIOS without much success.
Any advice?
@fixer85785 for sure! The image I posted was taken before cleaning and applying a layer of thermal paste.
I reapplied the thermal paste a second time cause I wanted to see if it was spreaded correctly.. and it was! :(
Cannot figure it out..

Yeah, sorry. I posted that before I saw in your post you already tried that. Have you tried running an older version of Windows? Like Vista or 7? I wonder if maybe the hardware just doesn't have what it takes to run 10, and maybe it's just stalling out?

Already running Windows7 and working in safe mode only.
Tried booting with
- Win10 x32 (official) 》》》shut down
- Win10 x64 (official) 》》》shut down
- Win 10 Ultralite (custom) 》》》shut down
I have not tryied an older version because customer want an updated os, so reinstalling win7 is not an option unfortunately.. but it will be useful to exlude HW issues.. i'll give it a try..

Anywat, I tried to ask ChatGpt about the processor's capability to run Win10... and it says:
"
The Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 is a dual-core processor running at 2.0 GHz, released in 2008. It is based on a 64-bit architecture (Intel64), meaning it can support Windows 10 at the architecture level, but with some limitations.
Windows 10:
Windows 10 can run on this processor, but with limitations. Some factors to consider:
1. Performance: The T6400 is quite outdated, so the user experience will likely be slow, especially with modern tasks like heavy web browsing or multitasking.
2. RAM: The Toshiba Satellite L300 typically supports up to 4 GB of DDR2 RAM. Windows 10 requires at least 2 GB for the 64-bit version, but it will work better with 4 GB.
Conclusion:
Yes, Windows 10 can run on a Toshiba Satellite L300 with the Intel Core 2 Duo T6400, but only for very light usage. I recommend:
Installing the 32-bit version of Windows 10 to save resources (if you have less than 4 GB of RAM).
