I need to reset a second hand laptop I bought didn't know it had both a user and a administrator password lock on the bios and the hard drive . I'm trying to find the cmos battery to disconnect and let me in the bios . Can't find it. Anybody have any ideas? Lenovo idea pad 14lalc7

Removing the cmos battery won't erase the BIOS password. Doing this only resets the other user definable BIOS settings back to factory default.
You either have to replace or re-write the BIOS IC, contact the seller and ask them what it is or ask the manufacturer.
Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop. Go to p.36 to view the procedure to remove/replace the coin cell battery, if you wish to verify this.
