Hi @addokwaben39031

Use a DMM (digital multimeter) and check if there's 19.5V DC at the output plug connector of the adapter, just to verify that the adapter is OK.

If the adapter is OK check if the DC-In jack on the laptop is OK so that power is getting to the motherboard. What can sometimes happen is that the centre pin of the jack breaks internally and this opens the power path between the power adapter and the motherboard.

Here's the maintenance and service guide for the laptop. Go to p.38 to view the procedure to remove/replace the DC-In jack (aka power connector).

Initially all you have to do is to gain access to the power connector cable plug and disconnect it from the motherboard. Then insert the power adapter as per normal into the DC jack and check if there's 19.5V DC when measuring between the red and black wires on the cable plug connected to the DC in jack.

If there's no voltage detected then the jack will have to be replaced, as it cannot be repaired. Search online for 844424-001 to find suppliers that suit you best. ''''

If there is voltage detected, then you will need the motherboard schematics to find out what's wrong.
