Hello there,
My LG front loader washer was also throwing the IE error code -
After cleaning the filters, resetting the machine, changing the inlet hoses - nothing worked… called my appliance repair guy and he spent a total of 30 seconds telling me that the DRAIN HOSE was on the floor and not elevated above the drain pump… one ZipTie later attaching the drain hose to the inlet hose and BAM, the most expensive ZipTie EVER!!
Works like new now - save yourself some money and check that your drain hose is not on the floor, but elevated above the level of the drain pump (about halfway up the machine)…
Evidently GRAVITY is the “valve” that keeps the water in the tub and avoids the IE error code…
