Hi @siuuffv

The impurities in the water causes corrosion and provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the tablet's operating design and could damage the components. The corrosion starts immediately and is ongoing until it is completely cleaned away

First do not turn on the tablet and then remove the batteries soon as possible to minimize any further damage.

Then you need to dis-assemble the tablet and clean all the affected parts using Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ (available at electronics parts stores) to remove all traces of corrosion and water. If possible do not use "rubbing alcohol" as in some cases this is only 70% IPA or less, can contain additives which may leave conductive residues and is not as effective. If you do have to use it check the label to verify the amount of IPA. The higher the percentage of IPA the better

As always with electronics, especially surface mounted pcb be gentle when handling and especially when brushing away the corrosion. You do not want to remove any components from the board. The ends of any flex cables and their connectors need to be cleaned as well

Hopefully after you have done all this the tablet might possibly work correctly again. You can only try.

If you decide to do this, do it sooner than later. It isn't going to get any better by itself.

Hoe to remove rusty screws.

さんによる

@siuuffv

That will be tricky.

It depends on where the screws are located in regard to other components.

After ensuring that the batteries are removed first you try try using a syringe filled with WD40 or similar product and apply a "single drop or preferably even less" onto the screw and allow it to hopefully "free" the screw. Don't apply too much as it will only have to be cleaned off afterwards as it is conductive etc.

Once you think that it should have worked then use the correct screwdriver (to avoid stripping the head) to see if you can slowly remove the screw.

You can only try. The main thing is to be a bit patient and don't rush things as this could make things worse than they already are.

Good luck ;-)

Is someone gonna make a guide to the little apps light up tablet

@siuuffv

Most of the guides on ifixit are created by users of this forum and not by ifixit, so if you decide to try and repair it yourself, create a guide as you go and post it back on ifixit.

Not doubt in the future other users will thank you for doing so.

Here's the ifixit How to Create a Guide that may help.
