My dishwasher will cycle on. Shortly after it stops, there is a pool of water in the bottom. Once I turn the dishwasher off I am able to left the float and drain manually. Not sure what it is please help.

Is the water warm/hot?
Just wondering if it stops due to the water not being heated and reaching the correct temperature.
Also just confirming that when you lift the float switch the drain pump turns on and pumps the water out?
