Loose charging port replacement

Can I replace the charging port power connection on the motherboard? I don' want to have to replace the whole motherboard.

The charging port on the Dell Latitude 5404 is available as a discrete part and appears to be a plug-in replacement (as opposed to needing to be desoldered from motherboard, etc.)

Part number is TDP-105HSR2-D-102-J

Example vendor shows it for reference (and appears to have it in stock): Dell Latitude 5404 Rugged OEM Latitude 14 Rugged (5404 / 5414 / 7404 / 7414) DC Power Input Jack with Cable - 105HSR2

Dell's manual for the 5404 has some good details on removal/replacement of various parts, in order, down to removal of the motherboard. These procedures may help you when swapping out the power input jack though they do not explicitly cover that: https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-...

A lot of the dell laptops have charging ports that are only held in by plastic pegs, if you're lucky you could simply reseat it and resolve the issue, it's worked for me previously.
