The Canon PowerShot SD960 IS, is a 12.1 MP Digital Camera with 4x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.8-inch LCD, manufactured by Canon in 2009.
A different camera: Powershot SD 880 IS. To download the pictures, I attached it by cable to my computer, But the computer doesn't recognize that the camera is attached and turned on. What can I do to fix that?
The computer makes a noise that something new has been plugged in. But when I go to canon utilities, it says to attach a camera. When I attached the SD940, it downloaded with ease. The SD880 was ignored. Thanks.
A 2nd question.

@karenkup Does your computer recognize that anything is plugged in or does it totally ignore that point?

As to my 2nd question.
I was told of an amazing new device! An SD card reader!
I'm so not techy that I didn't know these existed. LOL
so my 2nd problem is solved!
Thanks to all who read my question and thought of helping.
