When will a replacement audio board be available
Your Guide for the replacement of the audio board looks great. However I cannot find a replacement audio board for sale anywhere. When will this be available as my 3.5mm jack is not working

ID SAY to find a part in eBay that is used if you can’t get the part usually many sellers just buy the system and tear it down if you can find one of them there

Hi Michael,
Are you comfortable doing a little bit of soldering? Apparently a user on another thread located the actual part number for the jack itself, so theoretically it should be possible to order the jack and solder it on the board.

hey there. i'm not sure i have the skills for such fine work. it would be easy to replace the entire board, but i'm unable to find one at the moment and steam support are useless. they keep asking me to send performance stats of the game. and this has nothing to do with games. its across the board
@Michael Behrens I completely understand; circuit board soldering like that isn't something everyone has on their list of skills. If you have any local repair shops you might consider ordering the part and taking it to one; for them it should be a simple repair that shouldn't cost much.
Every time i wake my steam deck out of sleep mode the sound doesn't work. Even when I restart it through software the sound doesn't come back. It's only when I restart the steam deck with the physical power button does the sound come back until it goes to sleep again. I'm guessing a new sound board is in order but obviously they don't sell it yet. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I send a message about this problem, I ask them to just buy this part.
Valve reply to send the SD to repair, but this is not what I asked to them. They just don't want sell this part.

I don't know why valve sell screen with is difficult to replace and don't sell audio board who is easy to replace

the real answer to the problem is for the part to be made available. and if they can't because valve hasn't, then call them out on twitter and make a stink about it. they advertised it as a repairable device, we should hold them to it.
