App and system update has stopped on my Samsung Galaxy Tab2.10 .1

My Samsung galaxy Tab2. 10.1 can no longer do system updates.

It runs extremely slow . I can practically do nothing with it apart from receiving emails.

Please what should I do to restore system updating. Even the google play store doesn't work.

Clearing data and caches does little to help also.
