says out of paper
there is paper in the paper tray, tell it to print and get message that i am out of paper. it is not reading that there is paper in the tray

Sounds like the paper dust is preventing the rollers to work properly, give this a try: HP Printers - An 'Out of Paper' error displays, printer does not pick paper
