Anyone knows how to replace the backlight socket?

On my PSP 3001, my backlight socket connector broke off, ordered a new one to realize how am I supposed to do this. I have a solding tip and a heat gun.

The backlight socket is right beside the big lcd connector for the screen, you should put some heat protective tape over the plastic parts and surrounding pieces, must use heat gun to properly heat the contact pads. Magnifying glasses are highly recommended and some precission tweezers as well.

Must use a bit of flux over the pins as well to ensure there's no bridges between the pins.

You must solder the 4 pins, and the 2 lateral contact points as well. It's a precission task and should not be done for too long, since you could melt the plastic and do irreversible damage to the pins position within the socket. (Happened to me while using a solding tip, heat dissipates too quickly with this tool)

Thanks for the feedback, but it seemed far worse than I thought sadly. The pads are no longer there. I would have to scrape of some of the solder mask and extend it. The 2 anchor points seems a bit too far.
