Why does my unit will not boot. E: Check failed

I took the SD card out and reformatted for three different formats. that still didn’t work I tried clearing out memory an whole a bunch of stuff in the boot screen. With no luck.

Try booting your device into “Safe Mode” and performing a factory reset. Keep in mind that this will erase all your saved files (so back them up to a removable storage device), but it may also fix the problem.

  1. Turn on the tablet.
  2. Press and hold down the Power button until the Power Menu appears. This menu should have an option to Restart the tablet.
  3. Press and hold down the Restart option until a message appears asking if you would like to boot into Safe Mode. Select OK.
  4. When the table boots into Safe Mode, go into the Settings app and look for the Factory Reset option. This will erase all the data on your tablet and reinstall the operating system, giving you a fresh start.

Tried that was no safe mode but did the complete reset. Still no luck. Are you talking about a Visual Land Prestige Elite? 10Q Did a Hard Reset says wiping complete then reboot again does not show any problems. But when I do a recovey system from backup. I get a E : Check failed.
