The microswitch that tells the camera the battery door is closed, has broken off the mounting board. Can this switch be easily replaced, bypassed or does the board need to be replaced?
I have a 70D. I have searched out and found that sending it to Canon would likely cost more than buying a new camera. I am capable of repair, if i can know that bypassing the switch is possible. Jump soldering at the terminal. I have always used the extended battery grip BG E-14 with no, body battery door. So a bypass would make sense.
Reuben Bray what model is your camera?
