Display is black after replacement but will flash on then off?
Replaced screen and battery in 6s. Phone powers on with black display but will sometimes quickly flash on then off if phone is touched or moved. What now?

This will most likely be a backlight problem. There are two filters near the LCD connector I would say one of them has been nudged. You will have to get it looked at by a microsolderer.

Thank you for your time and concern. Your answer most likely is correct. I want to learn microsoldering.

Hi Gordon!
What could be happening here is that the phone has maintained a relationship with your original display. Since the battery had not been disconnected and reconnected after the new display was installed, the new display appears black but the phone will boot up just fine once the original display has been reinstalled, so your phone behaves as though the display has never been replaced. The fix that is most common is present in the replacement guide for this display. The battery must be disconnected and reconnected after the new display has been installed. Let me know if that helps before proceeding with more troubleshooting.

I left it powered on overnight. Eventually the dead battery icon was displayed on the screen. ( I am using another iPhone to charge the battery) I charge battery to full and reconnect it and same thing again, powered up but no display. As I handle the device occasionally it will flash on and off .
