Cracked display cover glass, can it be replaced?

Hello,

The front cover glass of the iMac 27” (Late 2013) has a crack. The LCD Screen is completely OK (no pixel-errors or lines)

I suppose the cover glass is complete glued to the LCD Frame. Is there a way to separate the cover glass from the LCD Frame?

If possible, I would like to replace this glossy glass with a Matte. I really hate all this glossy glass (iMac, MacBook)

The cover glass is not available as a part and taking the assembly apart is not easy! Trust me I tried! Best to just get a new screen or live with the crack if it’s not across the center third of the screen.

Here’s the IFIXIT guide you’ll need to follow iMac Intel 27インチ EMC 2639 ディスプレイの交換 Make sure you use the proper tools and techniques outlined in the guide, if you don’t you’ll likely damage the screen.
