The glass remains attached to the frame during lifting. Probably it is also broken. from the videos and the guides it seems that the glass remains attached to the LCD but this is not the case.

From the pictures on the guide it looks like the glass stays with the frame and the screen is part of the midframe.

So this looks normal. You should be able to continues the rest of the steps now.
