I replaced the battery and it turned on and worked well but still wouldn't charge. Then I replaced the mag connector and it still has the dim light problem. I replaced the battery a week ago so it probably is dead and can't even see if it turns on. What is my next move here?

Ouch! The charging logic on the main logic board needs repair.
This tends to be beyond most people to handle. You'll need to find someone with the deeper skill set and access to the needed parts.
