HR sensor not working

As per title, HR sensor not working at all, tried soft/hard reset, re-pair doesn't help as well.

Wake-up gesture not working too, the watch seems to be not able to detect my wrist without HR sensor, no matter how hard i swing my arm the watch just won't turn on itself. Sleep monitor stopped working too (probably due to HR sensor not functioning)

what could be the cause? device was connected to samsung note 8, thanks in advance.

I'm having a similar problem after there was some charging issue. None of the Sensors are working and also have a Charging Issue. I have taken the device to Samsung Centre but they said it would cost S$243.43 to replace the parts as this could be MotherBoard Issue.

Update (06/29/2018)

I have got some news here :-)

I have purchased it online from South Korea and luckily the seller was so promising that they managed to get it serviced through Warranty and it was just some Software Issue it seems. I have received my Gear safely back in its old form. Now I don't have any issues with charging and All Sensors are working just great. Please check with your seller's if it was purchased online and mainly from different country.

P.S.: I just had to pay S$10 for the Delivery, Pick-up was Free.

yeah, that is why i didn't send in for inspection at first place, in fact i owned 2 samsung gear s3 (1 for my dad), and both having similar issue, battery issue start appearing (unable to charge to 100% due to overheating), this is probably the worst purchase i have had.

El mismo problem tengo yo.. El mio desde un comienzo no le funciona los sensores.. Hay o no solución de software por de hardware sale caro..? Samsung por favor hagan algo para solucionar ese poblema.? No es justo comprar un articulo que lo promocionan mundialmente y que se dañe asi de rápido..!!! Ojala alguien pueda ayúdarme.. Gracias de antemano

Unfortunately no. I've been to Samsung center and they required a fee just for inspection, if it's hardware issue (most likely) they will charge another few hundred dollar for the fix. Very disappointed with Samsung devices, but considering their price point are not that expensive (around 600 Aud), i believe this watch was designed to last about 1-1.5 years maximum.

The watch froze up on me. I sold it after having to send in for repair. They told me it was the processor and battery.

If comments re built in obsolecence are true and they expect u to throw away or replace then samsung can kiss goodbye to this longtime customer. The Galaxy is getting more and more like an iphone with every version and theres less and less reason to stick with samsung / android with the lack of flexibility and poor support.
