Why is my display blank?

Hello... I have a Macbook late unibody 2008 2.4Ghz.

I am having problems on my display mac, my display is not on as normal, the indicator light is on and the cooling fan and cd player are running normally but the inner cd chip can not get out. ram and my original hard drive. I've tried to remove the battery and the mag safe and press the power button for 30 seconds, but the display remains black and there is no sound at the start up.

please help as well as his information what I should do.

Lets try a few tests here: Restart your system with the MagSafe power adapter plugged in. Do you hear the Start up tone at all?

Is the MagSafe cords LED Amber or Green? If Amber does it ever change to Green? It may take a few hours for the battery to charge. You system also has a battery checker on the side. When you press the button how many little green LED's light up? You should have eight lit when the battery is fully charged.

OK, lets move on to your display using a flashlight shine it from the back through the Apple Logo while dim can you see your desktop icons? If you do then the backlight logic has a problem. If you can't lets try connecting an external monitor to your system to see if the external display shows your desktop.

All the information you gave me already tried it

the beginning of my mac monitor died because I turned on my mac is reading the contents of the empty hard drive, then I closed my monitor and my mac was reading the contents of my empty hard drive as my iphone charger, mac in sleep but was reading the contents empty hard drive for 45 minutes. finally my mac is hot. then I open my monitor but my monitor is not on. that's a short story from my monitor that hitherto does not turn on.

Reading a empty hard drive won't effect the screen. But, the system overheating is a sign of a bad HD cable, thats not uncommon in this series. As the drive is not reading the system is unable to boot up.

But we need to be sure which is why I asked the questions.

- Do you get the start up tone?

- Can you tell me if the MagSafe is Green and if the battery checker has 8 green LED's

- Can you tell me if you can see any image on the display with either the flashlight or the external display?
