Completely made sure all of the ports with sealed shut and proceeded to use my speaker for the first time in the water. DID NOT COMPLETELY SUBMERGE IT, it was probably in about 1 in of water for 10 minutes when the speaker shut off.
It will not work anymore.
Was advertised to be waterproof for up to a half-hour in about 1 meter of water?

Water probably got into the Headphone/DC port. Since they did advertise as water-resistant, I would contact Logitech to see if they can do anything about a replacement.

That won't work. They'll only help if it came defective or DOA, but if you caused it, then they don't care.

Why won’t my UE MEGABOOM speaker work after it had been submerged under chlorine water ? It makes a deep tone and shuts off .

Hey Nicole same thing happened with me but also the company told that even if you left the port open nothing would happen. This is just ridiculous because such a high price for a speaker but the build quality and durability is just awful. The company should at least make it better or provide better service for repair. Jbl speakers are just better in waterproofing.

I have a wonderboom and i researched to double check if it was water proof and it said yes and so I had put it in the water and now it is temperamental with turning off or on and is stuck on sound down so when I turn the sound up it automatically turns it down again

Mine turns off and on all the time and bass isnt working
i had a 2boom water proof speaker so i went in the shower with it connected to bluetooth and randomly the light stops changing color so i get out and i told my mom its broken so i turned it on and hold the volume up and it randomly started to play piano music then i turned off and on and now the music changed to pure country and i can still connect to it but the sond is broken can anyone fix this prolem
my megaboom can't on or charge after expose in shower about 30 minutes

I think some lawers should prepare a lawsuit against logitech for defective products and lack of accordance between the published characteristics with the negative to replace woonderbooms after being summerged either with the usb port cap on or off.

Dan , unfortunately I do have the UE BOOM 2, which is the water resistant one. Advertised to be able to work in 1 meter submerged for 30 min.

Hi Nicole, the same happened to my it boom 2. It was submerged partly for barely 2 minutes and it hasn't turned on since. Did Logitech help you out?

Similarly I left my wonderboom a float for bearly 1 min and after doing so it makes a static noise as if water had entered the speaker.
