I need to replace the door check strap in my 76 300d W115. Took door panel off, but you can't get the check strap out without taking the entire window assembly out, it appears to me.
am I missing something on replaceing, and what is the proper procedure to removing the window etc.
need some advice on this.

@yadkin2002, Philip, I do not believe/not positive the entire window should have to come out to change the door strap, you should have to remove the pin and bolts and may have to turn(manipulate) the old strap to remove from door cavity or possibly have to loosen front window guide/track. Just to add a little to OT post, the video links(not your exact model) but may help in the removal of check strap. Good luck.
