Hello,
I decided to ask this forum about this issue. My mom's phone is not charging anymore and we try see if it was dust or small particles but, it was not that. I am wanting to fix the port but, don't know where to start and My mom does not want buy a new phone.
Please help.

@bobj2008,Joshua, Google how to factory reset your device as this can sometimes fix charging issues. Reset did not work, either the cable or charge port may be damaged. Look in the charge port with a flashlight and blow/pick out(carefully) any dust/debri that may be causing an issue and check for bent pins and straighten carefully with a tooth pick. Try a different compatible charger/cord to see if that is the issue. If different compatible charger/cord does not fix, it is probably a damaged/loose port that will have to be repaired/replaced. If port looks/test good the battery or connection is probably bad. If port is found to be bad, this is really not a repair for the inexperienced because the charge port for your device is usually soldered to the mother board and the heat generated could cause further damage if not very careful. I will post a link to a tear down guides to get you inside the tablet to check the charge port, pick your device from the list on 1st link, then select one of the guides, like screen replacement which will show how to disassemble device to access charge port. Will also post a link showing what is involved in repairing a mini USB attached to the board may not be your exact model. You can do a web search for a replacement charge port for your device using (make, model#, charge port). If not wanting to do the repair yourself have a good computer/cell phone repair shop have a look and estimate repair. Good luck.

Unfortunately, we did a few of the thing you suggested. The tab that holds the cord wiggles and does not see the cord.
@bobj2008,Joshua, In that case you will have to have the device opened up and either the existing port resoldered if not damaged or a new port installed. As you will see in the video it takes good skill when solder on a board with other sensitive components nearby and very steady hand, along with good materials and soldering iron/station. Good luck.
I am having this trouble too. My battery icon shows (with the lighteing bolt) that it's charging but it loses juice rather than replenishes. I have to charge batteries in a compatible phone then swap them out. I've done the factory reset as well but nothing seems to work. What could be casuing this?
Seems to be a reoccurring theme with Motorola phones. I've found it starts happening gradually. First of all one side of a fast charge reversible cable won't charge, then the other, then standard cables stop working.. finally it won't charge at all. Seen it with a number of Motorola phones.
Is the Motorola device charging component not holding the charger component cord,what should I do?

I have to take nail clippers and squeeze the charge cord ends just to get them to work on mine. Worst charging port I have ever had on a phone. Not going with Motorola again.

My moto g power is so tricky to charge. Have to have the cord just right and tip toe away not to. Cause a slight vibration that might disconnect it. Then I come back two hours later and no charge!

That's the problem I'm having with my Moto G 5 g. I swear it's begging me to give it the "bounce" test! Lol
Yep. My 2023 Edge Plus is having the same issue. The phone is great and in immaculate condition except for this one serious issue. Made the decision today to buy a Galaxy and dump my Motorola. Sorry to say that I will never buy a Motorola product again.

I had just got a new charging port by Bentley tech support and It doesn't work, it's new though, so why don't it work?
