Bluetooth speaker and Dot speaker
When I connect an external speaker via Bluetooth, the music stops coming out of the Dot. I want music out of the dot AND the Bluetooth speaker.

You will have to choose one or the other, both will not work simultaneously.

You don't need to spend hundreds of dollars for good, Dot-savvy sound. Bluetooth speakers these days come in countless shapes and sizes, and there are some surprisingly good ones priced below $100.
