The clips on the bottom of the battery compartment are gon from leaky battery. Thanks George S

What do you mean by gone? Are the pads on the board OK? If the pads are still intact, just clean the pads with alcohol and then add new solder, wick it then solder on a spring or something to make contact with the battery.
