demigod crash handler kernel crash..

My lg g3 phone goes to a blue screen.. Then turns off. It will then come up with a green screen and a kernal crash.. It gives instructions to reboot.. But that doesn't work! Did a hard reboot which worked for a few hours then it happens again!! My Sprint carrier said "too bad" cause I don't have insurance.. Help!! I don't want to spend the $350 they said it will cost me... I think the software update my phone last had was corrupt! Or did not finish properly!! I am at a loss.. Now it says this error..

Can you give us the entire text of the kernel crash? That will point to whether it's an hardware issue of just the software gone bad.

Original error was kernel crash..on the same kind of green screen with the same instructions.. then sometimes it would say tz crash or rest?? I cannot remember ..on the same green screen same instructions.. and now it says hw reset...

and there is always a blue screen that comes up first..

Having this error, splash screen shows, blue briefly then this message. Then dies. Cannot access phone. Have tried battery out, charger on and volumes.

Guessing virus, anything to do besides hard reboot or new phone and try to extract remaining. Suggestions greatly welcome

just press volume down and insert usb cable phone will stuck on lg log for 5 mins dont release volume down key it will reboot automatically and then reset the phone from menu i have solved this problem 5 times on different phones.

once when you will able to reset the phone service menu after that you can flash it by using octopus when phone will be in dogbark state it will give error in flashing on 80 or 75% in the status bar but if this restored from service menu it will easily flash without giving any type of error

Sarmad , when i try above option it's asking me to unlock the phone . it says Please check "Enable OEM unlock" in developer options . How do i unlock first?

Thank you, Sarmad! I searched on other websites, but most of what they said went over my head. Your answer was the first one that made sense AND that worked! It first loaded into safe mod. When I took it out of safe mode, all of my apps, settings, contacts, etc. were there. What a relief! Thanks, again!

What worked was your original post. I don't understand the one about flashing it with octopus. Fortunately, I don't need to do that.

I'm trying to restart a LG G Flex (D950). I’m following your first set of instructions. I don’t know anything about octopus or the other things mentioned in your second set of instructions.

I held the ‘down volume ‘ for 5:59 minutes, but it’s still stuck on the LG smiley face without any flashing or any other inductor lights.

What next?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Not working for me. Have been holding the Volume Down key for 10 minutes. Nothing happening. Still stuck on the Kernal Crash screen. Just a cramped finger!

Dear friend,

i had read your question,

i had see it from ur screen pic (un defined instruction)

its crash due to wrong flash write

so download Stock ROM for your device first

then flash it on ur device

i hope it will fix it

I was told the motherboards fried — these things dont last forever and some go quicker than others it seems. Upgraded to an S7 (ha! its what almost 4 yrs old?) and a similar thing happened: It Died….

if you are in download mode you should be able to push another teamwin to your device, that does not crash. from there i guess odin or such could push the new files to the device once it stops crashing.

My LG Harmony showed Kernel Crash when I turned it on this AM. I need help fixing this.

Okaaaay - how do I get into "download mode", what the heck is a "teamwin", and how do I "push it" to my phone, and who is "Odin"??? We are not developers. We are desperate people whose lives are screwed up because of this "kernel crash" problem on our phones, and need help. Please keep in mind that we are not fluent in techie jargon. Thank you!

Same problem here- says jump to DLOAD MODE Get the RAM DUMP Image after connecting USB. Have tried the volume thing to no avail. I was on a link supposedly to a major news site linked through a FB Story about windmill power. Up popped some “win a gift card” screen- dumb me I clicked- went to the next screen that said I won a $1,000 gift card- I clicked on the rules! SAW it was most likely a scam. Closed the window out and all windows out on the phone. LG model- then this screen of Kernel popped up!

My fiance got the green screen, we tried several things without success. Now his phone doesn't even want to turn on and we've even tried the volume down suggestion, i guess what we have no other choice but to go back to our provider and see what they can do for us.

We managed to turn it back on, but we've been getting different types of screens. One was blue with rectangular blocks all across the screen and another green screen.

I bought a new battery and fitted it, as it seemed to cook my old one while experiencing this on my LG G3. After repeated episodes of blue screen and black screen shortly after boot up, I decided to inject liquid flux around the processor and re-flow the chip with hot air. After letting it cool for about 15-20min I put it back together and it’s now been running better than it has in a long time.

When you say hold the down volume key for 5 minutes and then it will reset does it reset everything in the phone where it loses the pre history in it such as pictures contacts Etc? Please let me know thank you

Remove the sim card that is associated to phone like it was line phone

Press the power on and hold the down button immediately for 10 to 20 seconds.

While holding the phone will reboot and reboot and reboot again and will reboot in safe mode.

After rebooting in safe mode wait for a while ans press the notification and turn the phone "safe mode off"

The sim card registration is the suspected problem why this happens every time the sim card was change or inserted something need to be registered...and also the system of the phone is poor that cannot handle some errors.
