2 Why is my screen dimmed?
My laptop screen is really dim and hard to see when I try to work on an essay or go online.

First, check the screen brightness settings under the Control Panel menu then display settings. Increase the brightness level by moving the cursor toward the brighter end of the displayed spectrum. If this does not work, a bulb within the screen may be broken, meaning that the screen must be opened. Refer to our Troubleshooting Page.
