How to reinstall my digitizer board

Hey guys, I'm new to here.. Recently I purchased my very own ifix kit in hopes to repair my surface 2 screen by myself. I was successful in some ways. when I got the old screen off of my Surface 2 I accidently separated the digitizer board away from the surface so it was on the old screen. It didn't seem as if it was connected to any thing on the surface itself only the digitizer and its' cables. So when I put the digitizer flex cables in their spot and the lcd flex cable in its' spot turned on the power and wahla I have the LCD screen functioning properly! I did it! well... Everything works except my touch screen function. Guys I would really appreciate some help in the fact that I love to learn and any advice or places that you guys could point me to that would be great...
