MacBook only charges when fully drained

So a while back my sister spilled tea on my computer. I did the whole rice thing. Then opened it up and dried in cleaned it thoroughly.

The computer then worked fine for a while. When I charged it with its original charger, it would charge fine. But, when I charged it with a different one, it would take 10 minutes before it started to charge. This wasn't a problem since it charged normally with my charger.

So a couple weeks ago I let a friend use my charger on her computer. Now that charger doesn't work at all, not in my computer or anyone else's. So I bought a new charger, but now my computer only charges when the power is completely drained. I would charge the computer fully, and at 100% it stops automatically. Then I need to completely drain my computer and let it sit for a couple hours (anywhere from 6-12) before it'll start charging again. And, if I plug it in and it starts charging, but then accidentally unplug it, it won't start up again.

This is driving me crazy and I don't know if it's the battery or the MagSafe port or a $@$*!& charger.

The problem you are facing is likely do to the tea damage. I suspect you didn't remove the logic board and clean the other side as well as wash the board down with a good grade isopropyl alcohol (85% or better).

Between the acids in the tea and the sugar or milk (spending on how she likes her tea) you have a corrosive environment still present and the possibility of a short in the logic.

I would start by cleaning things again and if you are not comfortable going into your system this deep see if you can find an Apple authorized service center willing to work on a liquid damaged system.
