y phone was suddenly hung-up when I open my email. I press long press to turn off but it doesn't work. It will not turn-off. How can I solve this one? I try to recharge my phone, it doesn't work also.

Press and hold the Volume down and the Power buttons. When the phone reboots, release them.

You could remove the battery and this will kill the phone and hope it boots properly when it restarts once you put the battery back in. Hope this helps and good luck

in samsung galaxy a5, you cannot remove the battery since the battery is built in.

unplug Charger before Turning off ,,
it turns off and doesn't reboot ,,
When it's already switched off..you can Plug in the charger and it won't turn on..
Works for me Samsung Galaxy j7 OS 6.0.1

Hello .. I forgot my lock pattern and when I try to hard reset it .. won't let me turn it off .. it wants the lock pattern in order to be turned off but I don't remember the pattern .. so .. no hard reset, no nothing .

Thankyou so much. Totally worked. Only way to power off / shut down your malfunction samsung j 7 prime phone or device. Power & volume - key while its plugged in to charger. Or else it only restarts.
I was so lost, i felt the phone had malfunctions.

holding the down volume button and the power button at the same time till the phone vibrates should restart it. if you have it plugged in charging and do this it turns the phone off
