Fix for AirPort Express A1264

Hello,

I have an airport Express a1264, it sometimes gives me a few seconds a green light, and then a orange one. I think then it's booting. But after 5 seconds it stops. When I try it again, then it isnt showing me any sign of life. Maybe it's the power supply. Please help me.

Kind regards

First give this a try: Resetting an AirPort base station FAQ.

You may need to reconfigure the AirPort. Download the AirPort Utility from here: Support downloads

Hello,

I've done it several times, but the airport is not showing me a light.

I really think it's a hardware failure.

Can you access it via the Ethernet connection with your Mac running the AirPort utility?

I'm sorry for my late answer. But no, nothing works, it doesn't show up.

Based on your comments on the status LED, most likely, the power supply in the base station has failed.

Ref: AirPort base stations: About AirPort base station status lights (LED)

One possible means to try to revive it would be to perform a "factory default" reset on the base station. You may need to try this a few times. If this fails to solve the issue, you will need to replace your base station.
