Why does my jacket still smell?

I took my jacket on my semester long NOLS trip in New Zealand, and wore it everyday! I've come back to the front country where smelling like you haven't showered in 50 days is no longer acceptable. i was wondering if you had any advice for how to get the smell out of my jacket so i can continue to wear it with out getting funny looks!
