Audio is distorted
Only one side of the headphones functions correctly
The Device is Out Of Range
Although the phone may still show that the headphones are connected, there is a range within which audio can be clearly conveyed. Bluetooth's best connection range is up to 100 feet or 33 meters of wireless distance. If the problem only occurs when the phone is a long distance away from the headphones, it's possible that you've reached the Bluetooth connection's maximum range. This range can also vary depending on the objects/materials used to link the two points.
Interference With Connection
The headphone’s signal between your device and the headphones is weak or obstructed. Other devices with radio frequencies may interfere with or weaken the connection between your device and the headphones. Make sure any other devices with strong radio frequencies are not too close to the headphones.
Faulty Motherboard
Your headset’s wire could be broken or connected incorrectly. You’ll need to replace your present motherboard to fix this. To assist you with this process please refer to the replacement guide.

Difficulty with Bluetooth Pairing
Your headphones are not pairing with the device
Device Not Pairing
- Ensure that the headphones are off, then press the “ ” button for around 4-5 seconds, until the red and blue indicators take turns flashing.
- Go to setting on your smart device and then choose the Bluetooth option
- After retrieving the Bluetooth options choose the device name “ MPOW-059”
Paired to another or previous device
Check if the headphones are connected to another Bluetooth device if they seem to have an interrupted connection while in use. Turn off Bluetooth capability on any devices that aren't in use to fix this issue. You can turn off Bluetooth capability in your smart device’s settings.
Chip Storage is Maximized
The headphones can only store about 6-8 devices at a time in its chip. Once the chip’s storage has been maximized you cannot pair any new devices. To reset the chip storage, you would have to reset the headphones to factory mode. To reset into factory mode you must hold the power button until a red and blue light flashes alternatively. Once the device has been reset into factory mode, try pairing the device again.
Faulty Bluetooth Antenna
Sometimes a problem in the Bluetooth antenna may cause connection problems. To learn how to find the Bluetooth antenna, check out the Bluetooth antenna guide.
The device won't turn on
If the headphones are unable to turn on, it may be due to but not limited to:
Incorrect Charger
The headphones can only charge if it's connected to the correct charger. If the charger you are using to charge the headphones does not work properly, your headphones may not turn on. Please make sure your charger is compatible with the headphones, we recommend you use the charger that came with the headphones.
Faulty Battery
If the indicator isn't on after charging the headset for more than 30 minutes, there could be a battery issue. It's possible that the battery isn't fully charged. In this situation, you can replace the battery or check the connections between the battery and the device by following our instructions here.
A Loose Connection
Make sure your wire is securely connected to your headphones and power supply. A red light should glow near the power button on the left ear cup if there is a suitable connection.
Microphone Not Responding
When you are trying to use the built-in microphone and your Input system is not detecting
Failure to Allow Access
Some applications require you to accept allowing access to use your microphone in order to turn on that functionality. To check if your device has permission to the microphone, check your permission setting in your device settings.
Dust or Dirt on the Device Player Socket
In the jack socket of your media player device or mobile phone that you are using and connecting your headphone with, dirt or lint may be present in the socket, preventing a clear physical connection to be made between your headphone jack plug and the device socket, which is also a common cause of why your Mic is not working.
Pairing Not Successful
The connection of your device to the headphones may be lagged out and possibly can not connect properly when pairing with each other. Try to reconnect your device to the headphones via Bluetooth. Follow the instructions below to reconnect the device via Bluetooth:
- Ensure that the headphones are off, then press the “ ” button for around 4-5 seconds, until the red and blue indicators take turns flashing.

Bluetooth Error
A Bluetooth error may have occurred. To remedy this you may have to turn off your smart device and turn it back on again. Once you have turned your smart device back on, try to reconnect it to your headphones.
Headphone Data Error
Sometimes a lack of sound can be caused by a data error in the headphones. To resolve this issue you may need to reset the headphones into factory mode. To put the headphones into factory mode you need to hold the power button until a red and blue light flashes alternatively. Once the device has been reset into factory mode, try pairing the device again.

Device Isn’t Charging
If the headphones are unable to detect a pairing connection with the smart devices
A Loose Connection
Make sure your wire is securely connected to your headphones and power supply. A red light should glow near the power button on the left ear cup if there is a suitable connection. If the red light is not glowing, we recommend unplugging the charger from the headphones and then re-plugging it in again.
Broken Charging Port
If none of the other options work, your charging port may be broken. You can solve this issue by following the replacement instructions described
Faulty Cable
If after re-plugging the left ear cup still does not show a red light, you may have a defective cable and should consider replacing it. We recommend replacing it with charging cables that are compatible with the headphones for the best results.

How can I tell if the cable is compatible

Nope. Worked fine for a long time, new laptop (HP), worked at first. Now shows up as MPOW "Headphones" and "Headset". I get sound when I first pair but mic doesn't work. As soon as I change <ANYTHING>, nothing works again until I un-pair (remove device) and then re-pair.

MPOW 059 Plus will not hold a charge. When I turn off these earphones off,
I hear her say “headphones disconnected” but I can still hear a slight hum.

I've always taken care of my headphones, tonight my mpow 059 plus headset stopped working, they will not charge or power on, and the light isn't powering on either. The ANC still turns on and lights up, and I can hear it through both sides. The headphones seem to work when wired but like I said the power button and charging still remain broken which sucks cuz I only use bluetooth. Please help.
