Droid RAZR MAXX is performing slowly

Slower response time, lagging of the video or images on the screen, or overall worse performance.

Closing all the programs and app

You can do this by holding down the home button and swiping right to all the open programs.

Restarting the phone

If that doesn’t work then you can try to restarting the phone normally.

Factory Reset

**WARNING** doing this step will erase all of your settings that includes apps previously downloaded along with contacts, etc.

Then a factory reset might be necessary you are able to do this by using either of the following steps.

Hold down the power button and the volume up and down buttons at the same time and selecting recover.

Going to settings, then to privacy, then select factory data reset.

Droid Razr MAXX shutting off randomly

The phone will turn off randomly despite the amount of charge in the phone how long the phone has been on.

The phone might be overheating

If this phone overheats it will shut off so that it can protect the internal components.

If it overheats you will be able to tell it will get extremely hot either from too many programs open, external heat, or the process that the phone is trying to complete is too difficult.

You can try closing all of the applications that you have running to see if it reduces the heat thus stopping it from shutting down.

Restarting the phone

If that doesn’t work then you can try to restarting the phone normally.

Factory Reset

You are able to do a factory reset of your phone to do this you can either.

Hold down the power button and the volume up and down buttons at the same time and selecting recover.

Going to settings, then to privacy, then select factory data reset.

External speaker not working

No matter when you do there is no sound coming out of the external speaker of the phone.

Phone on Mute

Use the Volume button located on the right edge and press the up button to increase the volume.

Bad headphone jack

Plug Headphones to the Headphone jack and then unplug them.

Hardware or Software problem

It could be connection problem with the carrier or a problem caused by a recent app downloaded.

Then, the phone needs to be reset or delete the data that have been saved from the app.

Faulty speakers

If under warranty or insurance, send the phone back for a replacement.

Phone won’t turn on

The phone won’t turn on when pressing the power button.

Hold power button for 3 seconds

Before doing anything critical, make sure to hold the power button for at least 3 seconds for it to turn on.

Battery is uncharged

The phone may be uncharged. Charge the phone by using the power adapter provided.

Faulty battery

The battery of the phone may be faulty and may need to be sent back to be replaced by the manufacturer.

Defective Power button

It is possible that the power button is broken or jammed and would need to be replaced.

Touch screen not working

When trying to unlock the phone, the touchscreen input is not responding.

Soft Reboot

Hold down the Power button and the Volume Down button at the same time and this will restart the phone.

Phone is overheating

Turn off the phone and let it cool down for about 3-5 minutes. Then turn the phone back on.

Possible water damage

Make sure the phone is always in a dry place, and avoid humidity and wet environments.

Damaged Motherboard

The Motherboard may be damaged or faulty and will need to be replaced.

Unable to connect to WiFi network

Phone won’t connect to Wifi or seemingly drops connection for no reason

Confirm WiFi location

Make sure WiFi is available at your current location by checking with another device or going to a known WiFi hotspot.

Restart the Phone

Restarting the phone by turning it off then back on may solve the issue.

Soft Reboot

First remove the SIM card. Then hold the power and volume buttons down at the same time to reboot. After the phone turns back on, reinsert the SIM card.

Possible Bluetooth conflict

Bluetooth is known to cause WiFi issues with the RAZR MAXX, you can disable Bluetooth by going into options on your phone.

A green outline..unbroken line...appears around any choice I make. Double tap required to get response, Will not swipe up or down or right or left. Help!

Try settings and turn off touch assist . should be under you assabity options. This is systems settings not google settings.

Have been trying to turn on my RAZR Maxx hotspot but it has not been working since I newly bought the phone.

When I try to put the hotspot on it will show a costumer help line number to call and have call the number several times and the number is not work as said
