HP Split x2 will not turn on
The device will not power on.
Broken power adapter
First ensure the power adapter is inserted fully into the computer, and the plug is firmly connected to the adapter brick. If the adapter brick is cold to the touch after a few minutes, you may need to replace the power adapter.
Sometimes the system may freeze with a black screen. If the power LED is on and nothing shows on the screen, try holding the power button down for five seconds until the power LED goes off. Afterwards, try to power the device back on. This will force the device to reboot. Warning! Unsaved work will be lost.
Screen Does Not Display Correctly
The screen does not show what you want.
If the screen is cracked, the screen should be replaced.
If certain pixels on the screen do not change colors, the device has dead pixels. The screen should be replaced.
Touch Screen Does Not Work
When you touch the screen, the screen does not respond.
The Entire Screen or Sections Do Not Respond
If the device does not respond to touch, the digitizer should be replaced.
The Device is Frozen
If the device does not restart in a timely manner, press the power button until the device shuts down.
Short Battery Life
Your machine runs out of power faster than before.
Too Many Programs Running
Having too many programs running at the same time will drain your battery at a greater pace. Close unnecessary programs to conserve the battery life of your device.
If the device does not turn on without being plugged in or holds a charge for a short duration, the battery needs to be replaced.
Screen at Maximum Brightness
The device will consume power faster if the screen is set to maximum brightness. Try putting the HP Split x2 on Eco Mode.
Unresponsive or Missing Keys
Keyboard contains keys that do not respond or are missing.
Missing or Broken Keys
If the keyboard contains missing or broken keys, the keys should be replaced.
Keyboard Does Not Respond
If the keys do not respond, the keyboard connection may be loose or the keyboard needs to be replaced.
Device Does Not Connect to Wi-Fi
The computer's Wi-Fi does not function properly
Missing Wi-Fi driver
Your laptop requires a driver for the Wi-Fi adapter to connect to the internet. Using another computer, download the driver for the Wi-Fi adapter at HP Support.
Wi-Fi card not seated in miniPCI slot
Drops and falls may cause the Wi-Fi adapter to be unseated from the miniPCI slot. Remove the back panel from the touchscreen and ensure the Wi-Fi adapter is firmly seated in the miniPCI slot.
Wi-Fi adapter antennas not connected
A loose antenna cable can reduce your the Wi-Fi adapter's ability to connect to the Internet. Remove the back panel from the touchscreen and ensure the white and black cables that connect to the adapter's antenna caps are firmly connected.
Faulty Wi-Fi adapter
A Wi-Fi adapter may become faulty and need to be replaced.
The power LED is blinking and the system is frozen. I pressed the power button few seconds to shut it down and nothing seems to happens?

My screen won’t display anything. It shows a black screen but everything else is functional. the touch screen works, you could even go onto a website but it won’t show you which. Applying pressure in the top left area where the small piece of electrical tape is fixes the problem for as long as you can hold it there. I would like help on what to do to fix this. If anyone else has had this problem help would be greatly appreciated.

When press the power to thorn the computer on. The screen comes on and shows the hp logo and sits there forever. What do I do?
