Tablet Will Not Turn On
The tablet will not respond or show any sign of powering up.
Defective Charging Cord
Make sure the tablet is connected to the power adapter and the power adapter is plugged into the wall. Let the device charge for at least 30 minutes. If it is still unresponsive, consider purchasing a new power adapter.
Broken Power Button
Make sure the tablet is fully charged. Press and hold down power button firmly for 10 seconds. If the device still won’t turn on, you may need to replace the power button.
Failure to Charge
The power cord is malfunctioning and the device will not charge.
Defective Charging Cord
Make sure the tablet is connected to the power adapter and the power adapter is plugged into the wall. Let the device charge for at least 30 minutes. If it is still unresponsive, consider purchasing a new power adapter.
Defective Hardware
If the power adapter continues to not charge the device, reset the hardware. Press and hold down power button firmly for 10 seconds until the device powers down. Wait a minute, and then turn the device back on.
Tablet Is Slow/Unresponsive
The animations respond too slowly to user activity.
Storage Space Is Full
Restart your device. If lag still persists, delete large files that may be taking up too much storage space.
Too Many Tabs Open
Your device may be running too many unnecessary applications concurrently. Close all tabs that are not being used, or that have not been used in a while.
Insensitive Touchscreen
The touchscreen is slow or does not respond well to user activity while in tablet mode.
Dirty Screen
Ensure that there is no dust or dirt on the screen inhibiting the device’s response to the user’s touch. If the screen appears to be dirty, wipe it with a microfiber cloth.
Too Many Applications Running
The device may be slow due to excessive applications or tabs. Ensure that unnecessary apps and programs are closed if they are causing the screen to lag. If problems continue to persist, reset the hardware.
Device Won’t Connect to Bluetooth
The device will not connect to another Bluetooth device, or the connection is weak.
External Bluetooth Device is not in “Pairing” Mode
Ensure that the Bluetooth device is fully charged and powered on. Make sure that the Bluetooth device is supported by the Pixel Slate. Turn off Bluetooth and then turn it back on again. Ensure that the external Bluetooth device is not connected to another device, and that it is in pairing mode.
Bluetooth Device is Too Far Away
Move the two devices closer together and move the Bluetooth device further away from other wireless connections. Close all unnecessary applications and tabs on the Pixel Slate. If problems continue to persist, contact the manufacturer of the device that you are trying to connect to and request more assistance.
Battery Drainage During Sleep Mode
The device’s battery percentage will decrease when left in sleep mode for a given time.
Device Needs to be Charged
Make sure the tablet is connected to the power adapter and the power adapter is plugged into the wall. Ensure that unnecessary applications or programs are closed.
Updates are Needed
If the device updates while in sleep mode, the Pixel Slate will experience a significant decrease in battery percentage. Ensure that the device is updated to its most recent version before utilizing sleep mode for a prolonged time.
